§ 01 / What is sim racing?

Real physics. Real wheels. Not an arcade.

Sim racing is short for simulation racing. From the seat of one of our rigs you can drive iconic tracks and cars in a realistic, immersive experience. Our simulators replicate vehicle physics, tire grip, and driving conditions — the same kind of software pro drivers train on.

What that means in practice: when you brake too late into a corner, the car steps out exactly the way a real one would. Lift mid-corner and the rear rotates. Get on the throttle early and you run wide. It's a real driving skill, learned in a real seat.

Most first-timers spend their first ten minutes adjusting to how responsive a direct-drive wheel feels compared to a console controller. After that, it clicks.

"It's real life racing in a video game that's much cheaper than real life racing — saving thousands of dollars in car repairs, track time, and more." Callum Reed · Co-owner, on KPTV Fox 12

§ 03 / The questions everyone asks

Answered before you ask.

§ Skill level

Will I know what I'm doing?

Absolutely. Sim racing is designed for all skill levels. Whether you're a first-time visitor or an experienced driver, our simulators and a quick briefing make it easy to jump in and start racing.

  • Manual or automatic — you choose, switch any time
  • AI opponents that calibrate to your pace
  • A staff briefing before your first lap
  • Solo practice — you don't have to race anyone

§ Kids · Ages 5–12

Can my kid do sim racing?

Yes. We offer separate kid-friendly simulators for children ages 5–12, sized for different heights. Our kid simulators are compatible with the adult rigs — you and your child can race the same track at the same time.

  • Adjustable pedal box · junior seat
  • Slow-mode presets for first laps
  • Free with a paying adult
  • Birthday parties — book the floor
§ With friends

Coming as a group?

Twelve seats means most groups can race against each other on the same track at the same time. We line up the bays, broadcast the standings on the big screen, and crown a winner.

  • Up to 12 drivers on the same race
  • Group standings on the lounge screens
  • Ad-hoc qualifying → race → podium
  • Reservations recommended for 3+ people

§ Accessibility

Is the lounge accessible?

Our bathrooms are wheelchair-accessible. The rigs themselves require a transfer onto a fixed seat — give us a call before you visit and we'll walk through what we can accommodate. We'd rather have the conversation than guess.

  • Wheelchair-accessible bathrooms
  • Step-free path to the bay floor
  • Rig-side accommodations: call (360) 443-9170
  • Honest about scope — we'll tell you what we can't do
§ 04 / Motion sickness

A small share of visitors are sensitive. Here's how we handle it.

We're not going to oversell this. Some people feel a little woozy in their first stint — the same way some people don't love rollercoasters, or VR. It's worth knowing about, not worth panicking over.

What works

  • Start short. A 15-minute first session is plenty. You can always extend.
  • Take breaks. Stretch between stints, watch the lounge screens, come back fresh.
  • Tell your briefer. If you've been queasy in VR or on boats, say so up front — we'll keep your first stint short.
  • Dramamine works. If you know you're sensitive, take it about 30 minutes before you arrive.
  • Most people are unaffected. This is the exception, not the rule — don't let it stop you.
§ 05 / Walk-in vs reservation

You can do either. Here's when each makes sense.

01 What is sim racing?

Sim racing — short for simulation racing — puts you in a real racing cockpit running world-class cars on iconic tracks. Our simulators model real vehicle physics, tire grip, and track conditions, so it feels like driving the real thing rather than playing an arcade game.

02 Do I need any experience?

None at all. Sim racing is built for every skill level. Whether it's your first time behind a wheel or you race every weekend, the rigs and a quick staff briefing get you going fast — beginners learn at their own pace and still get the full thrill.

03 Do I have to know how to drive manual?

Nope. Start in automatic and just drive. When you're comfortable, switch to manual at your own pace — there's no pressure and no prior experience required.

04 Do I have to race against other people?

Not unless you want to. You can practice solo to get comfortable, race AI opponents that scale to your skill level, or line up against other drivers when you're ready for something more competitive.

05 Can I choose my car and track?

Yes. Pick from a wide range of cars and tracks to match your mood and skill — a high-downforce GT car, an open-wheel formula racer, a technical circuit, whatever you're after. Your briefer sets it all up at the rig.

06 Can my kid race?

Yes! We have dedicated kid rigs sized for ages 5–12, with lighter wheels and pedals scaled to smaller drivers. They run the same software as the adult rigs, so your child can race the same track right alongside you.

07 Will I get motion sick?

Most people are completely fine. A small share of visitors are sensitive to the motion — if that's you, we start your session short and you can take a break any time, so just let your briefer know up front. Many sensitive drivers find that taking Dramamine about 30 minutes beforehand does the trick.

08 Do I need to book, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome any time we're open — we'll put you on the next available rig, usually within about 20 minutes (longer on a busy Saturday night). Booking ahead just guarantees the rig and time slot you want.

09 Can I bring a group?

Absolutely — friends, coworkers, and birthday groups are some of our favorite bookings. For larger groups, private parties, or a full buyout, head to our Private Events page and we'll help you set it up.

10 Is the facility accessible?

Our bathrooms are high-quality and wheelchair accessible. If you have questions about getting into a sim seat, or anything else we can do to make your visit easier, give us a call — we're glad to help.
